The Who - Live From Shea Stadium (Details here)
The Doobie Brothers - Live From the Greek (DVD Details).
Berkley, CA. Greek Theatre, 9/11/82. When Michael McDonald announced he was leaving the band in '82 they didn't plan to continue without him. There's no doubt, this show was the end of the Doobies as the band made it clear to the audience. This is the final Doobie Brothers show until they would reform without McDonald (and with Tom Johnston) in the late 80's. The band pulls out all the stops in this broadcast and puts on a rocking show. You know McDonald already has one foot out the door when the band plays his solo tune "I Keep Forgetting". The band even does a forthcoming Patrick Simmons solo tune, "Out On The Streets", but you quickly realize he should have kept his day job. Overall, a memorable performance. This show appears to be finally coming to CD/DVD in late June 2011.
Frank Zappa The Torture Never Stops (DVD Details)
Finally this classic show is seeing official release, more complete than ever before.
Mr. Mister "Pull" (CD/Mp3 Details)
Never thought this would make it out - the Mr. Mister album that was too "artistic" for their record label at the time, so it got shelved.
INXS Rockpalast '97 (DVD Details) - Interesting they would choose this one to release officially and even more interesting to see how they edit it. This show took place a few months before Hutchence was found hanged in his hotel room. The performance here, while a very good one, also had it's share of strange onstage behavior that included swearing between songs, rambling and even drug use at one point.
Yes Union Tour 1991 (DVD Details). Again, cool they're releasing a show from this tour but why this one? This one looks like the final date on the tour from the Shoreline Amp in CA. It's probably one of the only shows of the tour not "in the round" and features the band in a very lighthearted mood - probably because they know the whole reunion gig is coming to an end. Kaye has fun with strange keyboard sounds, Wakeman pinches Rabin's ass and more yucks follow.
Duran Duran: Hammersmith 1982 (DVD Details)
US Festival 1983 (DVD Details). Appears to be a Japanese compilation, not nearly as complete as the bootleg compilations.

The Who: Maximum R&B and Rockpalast '81 (DVD Details)
The Style Council The Style Council "Far East And Far Out: Live In Japan 1984" DVD
NTSC/Region 0. First time on DVD for this extremely rare and very collectable show from Paul Weller's Soul/Pop outfit, recorded live in Japan 1984. Filmed during their tour to support their debut album, Far East & Far Out features the band ignoring Weller's Jam material and concentrating on their own EPs, singles and album. 15 tracks including 'Long Hot Summer', 'You're The Best Thing', 'My Ever Changing Moods' and many more.
U2's first concert video, Live At Red Rocks, will be released on DVD by Interscope/Island/UME on September 30, 2008 in the U.S., along with the accompanying live album, Under a Blood Red Sky.
Recorded at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on 5th June 1983, Live at Red Rocks will be available for the first time on DVD, and will include 5 previously unreleased songs, a director's commentary, digitally re-graded pictures and a 5.1 mix.
The remastered Under a Blood Red Sky album was originally released in November 1983, and consists of live recordings from three shows on the band's War Tour through Europe and America.
A deluxe version featuring the Under a Blood Red Sky CD and the Live At Red Rocks DVD will be available, as well as single disc formats of the CD and DVD. An LP version of Under a Blood Red Sky pressed on 180gm virgin vinyl will also be released.

Thompson Twins - "Side Kicks The Movie: Live In Liverpool 1983" DVD (Cherry Red)
NTSC/Region 0. Side Kicks The Movie captures the band live at The Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool in 1983, just as they exploded into wider fame with their album Quick Step And Side Kick and embarked on their remarkable '80's success. Included are spirited live versions of the hit singles 'Lies', 'In The Name Of Love', 'We Are Detective' and 'Love On Your Side'. The Thompson Twins (Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie and Joe Leeway) were one of the most successful Pop groups of the 80's, consistently hitting the charts both in the UK and in the US. The three piece were formed from the ashes of a much bigger version of the band and came together to produce the classic line-up in 1982. 'Love On Your Side' quickly became their first UK hit single. 13 tracks. Cherry Red.

Talk Talk - Live From Montreux makes it's debut on DVD this in October. I don't believe I've ever seen this even in bootleg form.
2008 DVD - 1986 was the band's only appearance at Montreux and caught them at the height of their success. Traffic - Live At Santa Monica DVD
2008 DVD - In 1967 Steve Winwood decided to leave the Spencer Davis Group, and form his own band, the result was Traffic. It is without doubt fortunate that Island & Columbia filmed Traffic at the 3000 seat Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in 1972, following the release of their definitive album 'John Barleycorn Must Die'. Cheap Trick Live At Budokan, Japan - Classic show finally on DVD
For the first time, the DVD premieres the previously unseen historic 1978 Tokyo concert, aired only once on Japanese TV. Bonus features include a new interview with the band plus two songs taped at 2008 Budokan Anniversary Show. Two CDs feature At Budokan: The Complete Concert, newly remastered, while an additional disc includes the audio counterpart to the DVD plus four bonus songs not included in the original film.
