First Tour Of The Nadars
Title:
Live In Lakeland P.E. Date: 4/11/82 Lakeland, FL Label: Digital Reproductions Source: Audience Quality Rating: B+ |
|
Description: There aren't many shows from this short tour, which preceded the Signals album. The most interesting things here are the early versions of "Subdivisions" and "The Analog Kid". Actually the band had just started laying down tracks for the "Signals" album so it's interesting to hear some of the rough edges on these songs. For example, you won't hear the guitar solo that ends "Subdivisions" because it hadn't been written yet! Overall the sound quality is pretty good and I would recommend listening to this at mid-volume while working, etc. and you'll find it quite an enjoyable listen. While listening to this boot I wondered what it must have been like to have been in the audience for this show and hear them play "new" songs. Especially since the "Signals" album sent the band into a different direction musically with more keyboards, etc. It was a growth period for the band and you can witness some of that here. | |
